Duchess of Kent House Charity (DoKHC) is pleased to announce the winners of this year’s Teddy Goes on Holiday competition.
Patricia Shackleford of Reading won best dressed for her George Bear; Jen Hargraves of Tilehurst won furthest travelled for taking ‘Boris’ to Vancouver, Canada; and the most unusual place award went to Fiona Vince for taking Benedict Bear on pilgrimage to the Bavarian region of Germany.
Entrants bought a Holiday Teddy from DoKHC and submitted a photograph along with a luggage tag with the details (keeping their teddy of course!). The lucky winners each won a £20 gift voucher.
Said George Solly, Fundraising Director, ‘Once again, this competition proved to be very popular. The money raised will go a long way to helping us provide services for those who need it most.”
Teddies are available now for next year’s competition at £2.00 each including postage by calling 0118 939 4889, or to buy at the Duchess of Kent House.
