Relatives, friends and work colleagues of Sally Leaver, who lived in Yattendon rallied round to raise considerable funds for two charities in her memory.  Sally sadly passed away 1½ years ago after spending 16 months in the Adelaide Ward, Royal Berkshire Hospital and a further period at Duchess of Kent House.  Several fundraising activities took place including a Lloyds Bank sponsored walk.

 

Last December, at the new Upper Basildon Village Hall the Angel Ball supported by XP plc power supplies of Pangbourne where Sally worked, was held.

 
The proceeds of these events resulted in an amazing £ 2650 raised for Duchess of Kent House & £13,000 for the RBH. Duchess of Kent House Charity supports various services at the hospices, and already this year given extra funds to replace ward furniture and update medical equipment to the value of £16,000.
