Reading Mayor, Councillor Gul Khan will be driving a No. 17 Reading bus on Friday 27 August, raising money for his chosen charities; Duchess of Kent House Charity and Age UK.
A taxi driver and former bus driver, Cllr Khan has chosen ‘care in the community’ as his theme for the year. His late wife Sakina Begum, was cared for at Duchess of Kent House when she was diagnosed with cancer in 2005.
