Pangbourne Village fete and Dragon Boat Race

The Pangbourne Rotary Club held their annual Dragon Boat Race on the Thames as part of the Pangbourne Village fete on Saturday 11th June 2011.

There were lots of attractions including a beer tent, BBQ, hog roast, craft stalls, commercial stalls and charity stalls. For the children there was face painting, climbing wall, ice cream, bouncy castle and lucky dips.

“Pitmans Pirates” the team entered by Pitmans, the largest law firm in the Thames Valley, powered their way into the finals of the Dragon Boat Race on Saturday and raised over £1000 for Duchess of Kent House Charity (www.pitmans.com/news/).

Along with The Alzheimer's Society we, Duchess of Kent House Charity, were the main beneficiaries of the money raised by the Rotary Club.
