As part of our Charity of the Year partnership with Reading Buses we have been given the opportunity to ask our supporters to name the six new yellow buses on route 26, in return for a donation.
The new-look electric hybrid buses run into Central Reading from Calcot, Beansheaf, Ford’s Farm and Southcote. They’re smart and comfortable, with free Wi-Fi on board, a wide door, step-free entrance and a level floor downstairs, use less fuel and emit far less CO² than conventional diesel buses.
If you would like to name one of the buses in memory of one of your friends, relatives or loved ones, please send their name, the figure you would like to donate and your contact details to Name the Bus, DoKHC, 22 Liebenrood Road, Reading, RG30 2DX or email george.solly@dokhc.org.uk. The deadline is 20th April 2011 and we will publish the results on the website by 30th April 2011.
The successful applicants will be invited to an official naming ceremony at Reading Buses head office. |
