On Sunday 13th February 2011, over eighty people turned out in the rain for our second annual Lanterns for Loved Ones service. People of all cultures and religious backgrounds to came together to light lanterns as a way of remembering loved ones who are no longer with us.
The event took place at Englefield Estate in Theale, by kind permission of the Benyon Family. Piper, Iain Comery, lead the procession from the Social Club to St Mark’s Church, where Rev. Judy Davies (Chaplain at Duchess of Kent House) held the memorial service.
