Inglewood Day Nursery raises money

Duchess of Kent House Charity would like to thank the staff, children & parents at Inglewood Day Nursery for raising £2400.

On Sunday, 5th December 2010 a Christmas Fayre and Nativity was held by the staff and children at the nursery based in Sonning, Berkshire. Christmas stalls, cakes sales and a raffle raised an amazing £1200 in memory of Paula Sheehan and others. An anonymous donor matched the amount bringing the total funds donated to £2400.

Jasmin Stevenson, Inglewood Day Nursery Manager said “We all had a great time raising money for such an important cause. A number of the staff, children and parents have known people treated at the hospice and we wanted to support the wonderful care it provides to the patients and their relatives.”

George Solly, Director of Fundraising at the Charity added “We are very grateful to all those involved in the event. The money will go towards the specialist end of life care available at Duchess of Kent House and in the Berkshire west region.”
