Louise Marshall wrote, ‘My husband Bob, a keen fundraiser and accomplished trekker had already decided to walk Hadrian’s Wall aid of Duchess of Kent House Charity. It was ironic therefore, that it was just these good people who cared for him last year when he lost his fight against mesothelioma. Their family room gave us all a much needed place where Bob could feel secure and spend precious time with all of us.

 

Six months later Bob’s close friend Jack also died. Now to fulfil Bob’s goal and in memory of these two good men, Jack’s wife Ann and I have walked Hadrian’s Wall.
