The Berkshire Hospice Lottery rollover has not been won for 49 weeks and next Friday’s (1 July 2011) it reaches the maximum - an amazing £5,000!
This is the biggest prize since the lottery began in September 2009. The previous largest amount won was £2,900, which was scooped by Reading based Natalie Allen in July 2010.
Profits from the lottery go directly towards funding hospice services in the west and central Berkshire region covering Reading, Wokingham and Newbury.
Every week one number is drawn at random and if this number is held by a player then they win the entire rollover prize. If no player has the number then the prize increases by £100 for the next week, to a maximum of £5,000. If the £5,000 is not won then the rollover starts again at £100 the following week. As well as the rollover, there is a top prize of £750 to be won, one prize of £50 and five prizes of £20 all guaranteed to be won each and every week.
