On Monday August 20th The Fantastic Mr Fox returned from his mammoth charity challenge.

Family members, Reading FC Chairman, Sir John Madejski, Head of JMA Academy Nicola Maytum (his Boss!), his physios and team members were all at Duchess of Kent House to greet him on his return. He even had an escort from the local Fire Station at Dee Road!

He climbed Ben Nevis in Scotland, Scafell Pike in England and Snowdon in Wales. To make things more challenging he rode the 500 miles between them and then another 250 miles back to DoK House in Reading.

Simon reported “This August I am going to climb Ben Nevis in Scotland, Scafell Pike in England and Snowdon in Wales. To make things more challenging I'll ride the 500 miles between them and then another 250 miles back to DoK House in Reading.  My hope is to raise the profile of Duchess of Kent House in the local community and collect money to support the exceptional services that they provide to the people of Reading and surrounding areas.

Three years ago my dad was diagnosed with an aggressive form of throat cancer and given a 20% chance of beating it. It is fair to say that he couldn't have done it without the help and support of the Duchess of Kent (DoK) House”.
